Jason Tiemann has more than fifteen years of experience as a private music instructor. During this time he has compiled a rather vast and varied list of credentials. Over the past ten years he has held a rather sizeable and loyal studio of motivated students. Jason is currently the applied jazz drumset instructor with the University Of Louisville school of music’s jazz studies division. Furthermore, he has taught drumset at the University of Kentucky and is a performing artist/clinician for the Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshops. Mr. Tiemann has presented clinics and master-classes at numerous schools and universities throughout the Midwest and Europe.

Jason is currently accepting new students and will generally accept any student who is motivated and truly interested in improving skills at the drumset regardless of proficiency level.

Lessons are offered in a couple of formats:

1. Private 1-on-1 lessons in my Louisville studio. This is ideal due to the quality of instruments and availability of educational materials.

2. Audio cassette/CD or video tape lessons. This option requires the student to record themselves in any of the above formats and mail them directly to me for evaluation. I would then formulate suggestions in the printed form and return the tape with demonstrations and suggestions.

3. via telephone. You sit at your drums, I sit at mine and we discuss issues as they arise.
